honors contracts.

An Honors Contract is an agreement between a student and an instructor that allows the student to pursue additional in-depth work in a given subject. The central idea for the contract is that the work required indicate depth and originality as opposed to more class work.

Ideally, contract ideas should be initiated by the students; however, the instructor may also suggest topics for the student to explore. In the past, students have prepared audio-visual presentations, produced a short play, or worked with the instructor on an ongoing research project.

Honors Contracts for Spring 2015 can be downloaded or picked up from the Honors office (Kayser Hall 208) beginning December 1, 2014. Honors Contract forms are due in the Honors Office by Friday of the fifth week of classes, Friday, February 13, 2015.
